Let's heal our sacred circle
Historic trauma has hindered and even broken the relationship many Native families have with our companion animals. We believe we can co-create a healthier and safer future for our communities.

OUR STORIES
Little Butter and Tamara
This is Little Butter and his mom Tamara, as Butter gets loaded into our Four Leg Drive Pet Transport. At NAHS, Tribal families load their own dogs into our backseat.
Our Pet Transport Manager Jeanne O’Brien took Little Butter to see the veterinarian and brought her home spayed later that day.
Our dream
We are working to build the first Native American Humane Society facility on a Tribal Nation by 2035. It will be the first center of veterinary care, pet shelters, and therapeutic pools in a Tribal community.
